A note about children's data Sensory Help Now is designed to support parents and carers of children with sensory processing differences. Our services are directed at adults. We do not collect personal data directly from children. If you share information about your child when using our services — for example, when describing their needs in a support query — we will treat that information with the utmost care. We will only use it to respond to your query and will never use it for marketing or share it with third parties except where strictly necessary to provide the service you have requested. |
3. Why We Use Your Information
We must always have a legal reason for using your personal information. The table below explains our reasons.
What we use it for | Our legal reason |
Creating and managing your account | Contract — we need this to provide the service you have signed up for |
Processing your purchases and providing access to courses and resources | Contract — to deliver what you have paid for |
Sending you important information about your account or purchases | Contract — service updates, access details, receipts |
Sending you our newsletter or marketing emails | Consent — only if you have opted in; you can unsubscribe at any time |
Improving our website and services | Legitimate interests — we analyse how people use our site to make it better for families |
Meeting our legal obligations | Legal obligation — for example, keeping financial records |
What are 'legitimate interests'? This means we have a genuine business reason to use your information, but we have checked that this does not override your rights. Analysing how visitors use our site to improve resources for parents and carers is a legitimate interest. We never use this as a reason to send marketing — we only do that with your explicit consent. |
4. How Long We Keep Your Information
We do not keep your information for longer than we need to.
